Training
All guards undergo an intensive 2 weeks training programme conducted at the purpose built VSS
training camp just outside Juba. The programme includes: 
Weapons (AK47) handling skills
Weapon Marksmanship
Rules of engagement and legal powers of a security guard
All other Post specific security guard duties
SelectionGuards are selected from a pool of available SPLA soldiers and must meet the following criteria:
Physically fit and free from disease
Aged between 21 and 45 years
Language - able to understand written and oral instructions in English
Correct sight and hearing
